Media regularly warn about security gaps or computer viruses. However, many consumers and even smaller businesses often find it difficult to identify what is really relevant to their own situation. The DsiN Security Barometer (SiBa), which has been available as a free mobile app for iOS and Android since 2015, can help here.
The app regularly provides information about current phishing waves, common malware, critical security vulnerabilities and other threats to digital security in popular programs and services. At the same time, the app provides initial recommendations for action and safety tips so that users can protect themselves. If desired, the app informs you about new messages via push. Various filters can also be used to limit notifications to specific subject areas. Reports can also be forwarded directly to friends and acquaintances.
The SiBa app was initiated together with members and partners as part of the Federal Government's IT summit. The offer is supported by the DsiN members German Savings Banks and Giro Association and classifieds. Other partners include the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) and the Federal Criminal Police Office.
